Minecraft 1.13: Snapshot 17w48a

Released on a Monday because of Dinnerbone meeting, a snapshot 17w48a is now available! It still fixes a lot of bugs, including very old bugs. It also includes an expected functionality for map making!

Additions and modifications

  • Originally planned for 1.12, but pushed back, the personalized craft makes its appearance! As for others (progress, loots, structures …) these must be put in a data pack to work. Also, disabling the “Vanilla” pack (with / disable vanilla datapack ) will remove all the recipes from the game.
    • Custom recipes should be in the form of a .json file placed in [world] \ datapacks \ [package name] \ data \ [namespace] \ recipes

  • Resource packs must now be version 4 to be compatible.
  • The TAB auto-completion has been improved and now works with the coordinates.
  • Addition of a death message via the explosion of a bed:  <player> was killed by [Intentional Game Design]
  • MC-1685  – It was impossible to write in a blank book after renaming it in an anvil.

  • MC-115123  – The parrots continued to move their legs even on their shoulders.
  • MC-118408  – The torches could not be placed on a Jack o’Lantern but could be placed on a pumpkin.
  • MC-121379  – Functions, Progress, and Loot Tables supported other file formats than .mcfunction or .json.
  • MC-121638  – Renaming via the anvil only worked on the client side.
  • MC-121664  – It was impossible to auto-complete coordinates.
  • MC-121781  – The / execute if block command did not work when used alone.
  • MC-122147  – Acacia barriers, wickets and pressure plates were stored after dark oak in the creative inventory.
  • MC-122195  – The collision box of the cauldron and the gate frame of ender with one eye was slightly incorrect.
  • MC-122211  – The boat was shaking when turning.
  • MC-122313  – Tuning a Note Block with a block above emitted particles and sound.
  • MC-122319  – The flags were not stackable.

  • MC-122347  – It was impossible to open chests / shulker boxes in a LAN world.
  • MC-122350  – Making a light green or magenta flag gave wool instead.
  • MC-122363  – The pressure plates and wooden buttons were not grouped in the cookbook.
