Keyboard Wizard Mods

Keyboard Wizard  is a mod that adds a virtual QWERTY keyboard, where we can locate, quickly and easily, the keys that are free and the keys that can be conflicting. In this way we can adapt the functions of the keys of our keyboard as we want and avoid that the same key has two functionalities.

It is common that when installing several mods, some of them have functionality on a key, which another mod also uses, which translates into a problem. In fact, it is a frequent problem when installing several mods.

With this mod installed we can see in red the conflicting keys, which can have more than one associated function, while the keys that have a single function will be green, and the free keys, which do not yet have any function, are shown in white.

Features

Keyboard Wizard is opened by pressing F7 by default.

Keys that are bound to something will be green on the right. When there is a conflict, a key will turn red. Bindings that are not set to the default key will be green in the list.

To change a binding, select it in the list on the left, and then click a key on the right. The search bar at the bottom left can be used to find bindings by their display name.

The “Active Modifier:” button allows bindings to have a modifier such as control or alt (menu). When the button is pressed it will toggle though the available modifiers. Only bindings with the modifier shown on the button will be colored on the keyboard. If a binding is set when the active modifier is anything but NONE, the binding will be set to the key + the active modifier.

Press the “Binding Categories” button to show a dropdown list of categories.
