When you craft an object, you assemble many items that are “lost”. So you may need to go back, recycle old objects, sometimes worn out. The developer csb987 offers us his mod, Uncrafting Table Mods that allows you to reverse the process of a craft, in exchange for a little experience.

Crafting Table is the foundation to craft other blocks, tools and advanced materials that the 2×2 Crafting Grid in the inventory cannot make. The amount of items that need the 3×3 Crafting Grid of the Crafting Table is accounted for half of all Minecraft items. Therefore Crafting Table is one vital equipment that every player must craft, right after Wooden Plank – material to make Crafting Table.
All this is done from a block, the Uncrafting Table. The craft is very simple: all you need to do is surround a cobble stone craft table. Once this new workshop is installed, you have access to an interface similar to what you are used to.
You have to put what you want in the second box, starting from the left. Take the example of a diamond plastron, something simple, an assembly of eight diamonds. Once the item is in the craft table, you can get the diamonds for 5 points of xp: the item will be destroyed.
In the event that the object is damaged, you do not recover all the elements, they will be replaced or irrecoverable. Be careful before taking the first item, thus consuming your 5 experience points.
You have the possibility of recovering the enchantment of the elements you are breaking down by adding a book in the first box to the left of the uncrafting table. The cost in experience is the same and you get an enchanted and reusable book with another object.
In the case where the deposited element refers to several patterns, arrows allow you to choose the “de-craft” of your choice, as in the case of the rose. Also, you have to think that the combination of “craft” matches the original craft. The second example of polite andesite illustrates this with 3 missing elements, references to the craft requiring 4 raw andesites for a polite.
