With Minecraft in full screen, switch to another application, open the menus regularly becomes annoying quickly, as are the overabundance and mixing of information in the chat or the repetition of some orders. While offering a convenient and simple solution, 5zig Mods provides valuable help with shortcuts, automation of certain multiplayer functions, chat optimization or TeamSpeak integration. All this in 9 languages (including Spanish, German, but not French) and for all players and especially moderators and lovers of English mini-game or pvp.
5zig Mod is a very serious competitor of the LabyMod, because it brings many functions that we will detail throughout this article. Numerous lists are thus present in the ticket, detailing one by one all the options of mod. These options are mostly on / off buttons that allow you to one-click change an option that will be immediately applied and saved. You can also read this article without reading the drop-down lists, simply to realize the capabilities of this mod, exceptional.
This mod only includes personal cosmetic effects, without giving you significant gaming benefits. It is not considered a cheat. You can use it safely in solo and on your favorite mini-game servers.
Display of data
The main function of this mod is the display of data on your screen. These are valuable helpers for your position, equipment, potions that affect you or the TeamSpeak channel you are in. You can activate and modify the display of these modules with the menu below. To access it: Pause menu → Options …> The 5zig Mod … → Customize Display
List of modules
- stats: Indicates your current coordinates, the ip of the server where you are, your ping or your fps, as well as other useful information in multiplayer.
- teamspeak: Show your channel and your interlocutors, we will come back.
- armor: Inform you about the durability and enchantments of your weapons and armor.
- Potions: Displays the effects applied to you.
- customserver: Transmits information related to the server, if any.
- coordinatesclipboard: An arrow shows you saved coordinates (we’ll get back to that).
Timolia options; timoliatournament; gommehd; playminity; bergwerk; mineplex; hypixel; venicraft; cytooxien and simplehg are about eponymous servers and inform you about your team, your kills, your deaths and other information about your game on these platforms.
- party: Show the players of your 5zig Mod team (it proposes a system of friend which we will evoke below).
- spotify and itunes: displays the music being played.
A Search button is available in the menus of the 5zig Mod, allowing you to quickly find a lost option … there are so many.
You can program modules yourself with the Add new Module … button and set up, manage, all with the other buttons. You have an infinite number of possibilities to have fun concocting your own options.
In order to harmonize and prioritize the information, you have the option to go up and down, “Move up” or “Move down”, the modules and so define a place on the screen. You can also use the “Disable” button to disable a display and “Enable” to restore it.
Be careful not to overload your interface, so you will not see any information at all.
Customize the interface
Now that you have defined what should be displayed, I propose to customize the colors. Via the menu below (Menu pause → Options …> The 5zig Mod … → Display options), you can customize the previously mentioned modules, but also much more common elements like the game chat. Here is a review of the set of functions:
List of functions
- Formating of Prefix / Mais: Appearance of the text displayed by the modules, to make it bold, italic, or underline.
- Prefix / Main color: The color of the prefixes and then the rest of the text of the modules.
- Formating of Bracket | Bracket color: Separating elements in the shape and color of prefixes, such as the “[]” brackets.
- Number Precision: The number of decimal places after the decimal point for the displayed values.
- Overlay functions cause the game to crash …
- Zoom factor: Power of the Zoom 5zig Mod tool (to set up in the game controls).
- Vanilla potion indicator: Allows you to remove the vanilla indicator for potions effect.
- Show potion indicator: Enables or disables the display of green diffuse borders when under the influence of a potion.
- Colored armor durability: Color or not the percentage of durability of your armor that turns red in case of heavy damage.
- Show hotbar numbers: Displays the numbers, keyboard shortcuts, for each box on your quick access bar.
- Show more chat symbols: Add a small “+” above your chat bar to easily get special characters.
- Show last server: The last server you visited is or is not displayed on the home screen.
- LED keyboard settings: Tools for displaying modules on compatible keyboards (Razer, Roccat and Logitech).
- Chat limit: Maximum number of lines for displaying your chat.
- Static FOV: Fixed or not the field of view settings: this will expand when you drink a speed potion, this will be disabled or not.
- Time in chat messages: Sets the presentation of messages in the chat.
- Transparent chat background: Changes the background of the chat that becomes transparent.
- Transparent pause menu: Similarly, for the game option menus.
Coordinates tool
Then comes the very useful coordinate tool. These are valuable landmarks, but difficult to use without the habit. We must take into account three data, X, Y and Z, which 5zig Mod will be happy to simplify. In the mod options, enter the Coordinates Clipboard … menu. You just have to type coordinates so that an arrow appears at the top of your screen, guiding you to the designated intersection. You can also use one of these three keyboard shortcuts to quickly define coordinates:
- Space bar: between your current position
Ctrl + D: inserts the position of your last death … practice!
Multiplayer and social
All these tools will be very useful to you solo, but it is in multiplayer that 5zig Mod deploys all its potential. The minis-game servers always having the coast, it is for these that the mod is optimized. Whether in the chat or in-game, the information scrolls quickly and your orders are intermingled with other players’ exchanges and announcements of the server. We are going to put a little order in all this and discover other practical tools that only work in multiplayer. Now the moderators will discover their new companion.
General and Hypixel multiplayer settings
Go to the menu attached to the multiplayer options (Menu pause → Options …> The 5zig Mod … → Server options) in the General sub-menu. A new list of options is offered to you: they concern the connection between you and the server, the mechanical interactions that you have with it, such as automatic reconnection.
List of options
- Notify on Chat-Mention: Block or not the sound emitted by some server when your nickname is mentioned in the chat.
- Automatically Reconnected: Once activated, this option will reconnect immediately to the server from which you have just been evicted.
- use CMD-Key: Very useful for Apple computer users: you can use the Ctrl key as the Cmd key.
- Show Compass Target: Displays or not a compass that tells you the respawn point.
- Show Large Killstreaks: Player markers are displayed or not (only for some mini-game).
- Allow mod plugin requests: allows servers to send you plugins to improve your gaming experience.
- Show Mojang Status: You are notified when Mojang’s servers have a technical problem.
- Confirm disconnect: If enabled, asks for confirmation to disconnect from a server.
The Hypixel menu offers 3 convenient options for the English-language server. You can find more information about guilds, other players stats and you can manage your friends. All this from your option menu, it’s still great.
Organize the chat
Now let’s take a look at chat options with Highlight Words that allows you to highlight specific words in the chat or your own nickname. Click Add Entry and type the word or word sequence for which you want to have a visual indication. For your own nick to be underlined, type% [your nickname]% in the field. You can delete the selected entry with the Remove Entry button.
2nd Cat will quickly become indispensable to you. It allows you to isolate certain contents of the main chat on a second panel whose opacity, height (Focused / Unfocused height), width, text alignment (Leftbound Text) and size (Scale) can be adjusted. This tool is closely related to the Chat Messages Filter. In this menu, you can enter words and word sequences that will be treated in a certain way. For each entry, you can specify exceptions and target servers (both separated by commas). Finally, you can choose an action:
- Ignore the message.
- Isolate it in the second chat (Print).
- Copy it into the second chat (it will then show in both boxes).
- Announce that you are AFK.
- sends an automatic message (Auto Text) for which you must specify the content and the delay of sending in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second).
- play a sound (Play Sound).
Shortcuts and macros
The Text Shortcuts option allows you to create expressions that, once entered into the chat, will turn into a sentence, word, or character string. For example, typing “& shrug” gives an emoji “¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯”. When you program a shortcut, you can decide not to apply the change if you are typing a command (this will avoid the error of automatically changing a variable of a command). You can also decide to automatically change the words embedded in other words (Replace Inside Words).
Text Macros are useful tools to use wisely. You can decide that pressing a specific key sends a command or a predefined message to the chat. You can enter your key sequence by clicking the center button, performing your action sequence on the keyboard, and then pressing that button again.
Username History allows you to find a player’s UUID and their nickname history by typing their current player name. This is a very handy feature for moderators.
Friends system
With a friend system (Menu pause → Options …> The 5zig Mod … → Friends) specific to 5zig Mod, you get an alternative to the friends systems of the servers. Moreover, it is easy to be in contact with other players with the integration of TeamSpeak.
Regarding the friend system, the buttons are at the top of the page with the possibility to create chats (Cats) with your friends friends (Add Friends). This system only works between users of 5zig Mod and it is with them that you will have the possibility to create parties. Being at party automates the server switch: you will all automatically go to the same ip.
This does not replace party systems that automate many more options, including team organization.
TeamSpeak integration
To link TeamSpeak to your game, you have to go to the menu of the option (Menu pause → Options …> The 5zig Mod … → TeamSpeak), then launch the software. You will be asked to follow this path (here presented in French) in the voice chat app: Tools → Options → Add-ins → “My Addons” tab → “ClientQuery” section → Settings. A sequence of characters to copy paste in the field of the menu of 5zig Mod will then be given to you. Once the link is done, you can use TeamSpeak on Minecraft as if you were using the real software. You will always have to return to this window to change channels or manage your messages. With the button at the top right you have the possibility to set some features:
- Enable or disable TeamSpeak.
- Find your TeamSpeak messages on the game chat.
- View all channel activities in your chat game.
It is possible to reset all the parameters of the mod in case you want to start all over again. The button is located at the bottom of the homepage options 5zig Mod: Menu pause → Options …> The 5zig Mod …

How to install:
Start by downloading Forge Installer. Once this is done, open it and click Install Client.
Launch Minecraft and select the Forge profile. Enter your credentials again and click Play to complete the installation of Forge.
Then find your .minecraft folder:
Windows: Go to the Start menu, then go to Run. Otherwise, press Windows + R key. Then type% appdata% in the search bar, then go to the .minecraft folder.
Linux: Press ALT + F2 at the same time. You should normally have your .minecraft.
If you do not see it, activate hidden folders with the CTRL + H combination.
Mac: Your minecraft folder is in User> Library> Application Support.
If you can not find Application Support, do Finder> Menu Bar: Go + Hold ALT> Library.
Then drag the .jar from your previously downloaded mod into the mods folder, which is in your .minecraft.
