Sugi Forest is a mod that adds a new biome to the game. This biome is formed by trees of large dimensions, based on a type of real tree, endemic to Japan and very popular in the Japanese country. We are talking about Cryptomeria japonica.

With this mod installed, during our explorations of the world, we can find a biome formed only by this type of tree. From the tree, we can get a new type of wood, a lighter color than the rest of the game’s woods. With this wood we can create blocks of wood, slabs, stairs, fences, doors and chests. We can also create a new set of weapons and tools.
Manual Install Instructions
Download Forge above.
Open the Forge installer, choose Install Client, and click OK.
Download SugiForest Mods and save it to your desktop.
Windows
Press this button combination: Windows+R
In the window that appears, type %appdata% and press Enter.
Open the .minecraft folder.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag SugiForest into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!
Mac OS
Press this button combination: ?-Shift-G
Type in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft and press Enter.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag SugiFores into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!
