A new snapshot 18w11a version of Minecraft is released This Tuesday. Let’s discover in detail all the innovations brought by this snapshot: The wrecks The ocean floor never ceases to embellish, a new structure is dedicated to them in this snapshot: the wrecks. Wrecks are generated in all oceanic biomes , including beach biomes . When a wreck is generated on a square it is shallow, so it is easily visible: It is even sometimes possible to see part of the wreckage out of the water! The forms of wrecks are very varied, it will be rare to find 2 perfectly identical.
Wrecks are very common in the oceans, they are very easy to find, it is not uncommon to see many in our field of vision. Most shipwrecks have at least one treasure chest, and often even 2 chests: But not all chests have the same loots. There are 3 types of loot spread over wrecks :
- Foodstuffs (potatoes, carrots, putrefied meat, wheat, etc.) accompanied by an enchanted garment (these are the most common chests)
- Precious chests (iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds) (these chests being the rarest)
- Treasure cards (always well protected in paper and feathers)
There are 20 models of wreck, classified according to several criteria:
- 3 positions (standing, on the side, upside down)
- 3 pieces (the front of the boat, the back, or the entire boat)
- 2 types of degradation (with few or many degradations)
The Drowned
End of the mystery for the mysterious mob discovered on one of the images of the Bedrock version . It was therefore a new mob for the Aquatic update, this mob is called the Drowned: The drowned is a variant of zombies that is able to live under water. The drowned spawn in all the water: all the oceans and even in the rivers : The drowned are hostile mobs very common at the bottom of the oceans, one sometimes finds tens on the same place: Unlike their cousins the zombies they can appear day and night.
Although being very good swimmers, drowning will most of the time walk on the bottom of the ocean.
Coral Fans
It is unclear to the current textures of this new form of coral as it confirmed that it does not naturally spawn as of yet.
In real life coral reefs, coral fans are a finger-like spanning from eight central tentacles.
When added to the game, coral fans will spawn of coral blocks naturally spawning in oceans.
Additions
Added boat wrecks that appear in the oceans or under the beaches.
- They exist in 20 forms using randomly 2 different types of wood.
- 10 of them are the “degraded” versions of the 10 others.
- They may appear in the right direction with or without mast, on the side, turned or with only the front or the back.
- All wrecks have chests. The integers have 3 and the halves have only one.
- There are 3 types of loot inside:
