Butterflies can be found in exuberant and warm biomes, and we can capture them with a network. The snails can be found in the swamp biomes. While deer will appear in temperate forest biomes and in cold biomes, we can obtain meat from them.

This mod is compatible with the biomes generation of the Biomes O ‘Plenty mod , so that the new animals will also be generated in the new biomes that this mod offers.

Mobs

Butterfly

Butterflies are ambient mobs that spawn in warm, lush biomes. They appear in a variety of colors, and fly around in the air.

Butterflies can be caught using Bug Nets and Bug Habitats. If you have an empty Bug Habitat in your inventory, the butterfly will automatically be placed in it when caught.

Additionally, butterflies named using Name Tags will retain their name even when caught and placed in a Bug Habitat. The name will stay if you release them as well.

Deer

Deer are passive mobs that generally spawn in temperate forest biomes, as well as some colder biomes. They randomly spawn as either a doe (Female) or buck (Male), and can sometimes appear naturally in their baby form.

Deer are also very skittish, and will run away from nearby players.

When killed, mature deer drop Venison, a meat that can be eaten raw, or cooked to restore additional hunger.

Dragonfly

Dragonflies are ambient mobs that spawn in wet, temperate biomes. They appear in a variety of colors, and fly around in the air.

Dragonflies can be caught using Bug Nets and Bug Habitats. If you have an empty Bug Habitat in your inventory, the dragonfly will automatically be placed in it when caught.

Additionally, dragonflies named using Name Tags will retain their name even when caught and placed in a Bug Habitat. The name will stay if you release them as well.

Snail

Snails are ambient mobs that spawn in swampy biomes and randomly crawl around. When killed, they have a chance of dropping a Snail Shell.

Drops

Snail Shell

Snail Shells have a chance of being dropped by Snails when killed.
They currently serve no purpose.

Turkey Leg

Turkey Legs are a food dropped by mature Turkey when killed. They can be eaten raw, but they will give the Hunger effect, or they can cooked to be eaten safely and restore additional hunger.

Cooked Turkey Leg

Venison

Venison is a food dropped by mature Deer when killed. It can be eaten raw, or cooked to restore additional hunger.

Cooked Venison

Items

Bug Net

Bug nets are used to catch Butterflies and Dragonflies. You must have an empty Bug Habitat in your inventory to catch them.

Bug nets also lose durability with each catch.

Crafting Recipe

Bug Habitat

Bug Habitats are used to keep caught Butterflies and Dragonflies in. If you have an empty bug habitat in your inventory, and use a Bug Net to catch an insect, it will automatically be placed in the habitat.

You can release insects from the habitat by right clicking while holding it.
