The Erebus Mods offers us a new dimension, with a large amount of content, so much so that we could live an experience in survival mode without leaving this new dimension, if we so wish.

This new dimension will offer us a new world to explore, with new adventures, new dungeons, biomes, structures, creatures, objects, weapons, tools, armor and many other things. Also new habitual mineral resources in technological and magical mods will be generated, reason why they turn it into a complementary mod for this class of mods.
This is what you’ll need to do to get to the erebus:
Craft a Offering Altar (Smooth stone in the corners!):
The offering altar takes 3 items in and crafts them into 1 (You can use NEI to look recipes for it!) But the only recipe you need to worry about now is the one to craft the Gaean Stone which is part of the portal activator recipe. You’ll need an obsidian, an emerald and a diamond! Right-click the altar with those items in your hand to put them in.
To take an item out you’ll need to shift right-click with an empty hand and the items will pop right out.
Once you have the gaean stone craft the portal activator (now named Staff of Gaea) thusly:
Now onto actually building the portal!
You’ll need:
A Gaean Keystone
Crafting the gaean keystone is simple:
Build a portal frame. You can get creative here, any shape will do.
Doesn’t even need to be vertical!
Now fill that baby up with leaves (any leaves should work, even from other mods):
Place the keystone in front of the portal:
And now right-click the keystone using your Staff of Gaea!
Manual Install Instructions
Download Forge above.
Open the Forge installer, choose Install Client, and click OK.
Download The Erebus Mods and save it to your desktop.
Windows
Press this button combination: Windows+R
In the window that appears, type %appdata% and press Enter.
Open the .minecraft folder.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag The Erebus into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!
Mac OS
Press this button combination: ?-Shift-G
Type in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft and press Enter.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag The Erebus into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!
