XL Food is a mod that will allow us to grow a good amount of new foods in our gardens. These new foods we can use to create a good variety of new dishes and food recipes, so we will increase the variety of food for our character from Minecraft.

Recipes
Grass and Vanilla Flowers
The new Grass will have a 35% chance to drop a Rice Seed, 35% chance to drop a Pepper Seed, 35% chance to drop a Corn Seed, 35% chance to drop a Cucumber Seed, 35% chance to drop a Lettuce Seed, 35% chance to drop an Onion, 35% chance to drop a Tomato Seed and a 35% chance to drop a Strawberry Seed which can then be used to plant new crops. Also, a config file of the mod has the option to disable the world generation of Grass, Vanilla Flowers, and Rock Salt.
With Vanilla Flowers you can make Vanilla Extract which can then be turned into Vanilla Cream:

Rock Salt can be found spawning underground:
Rice, Pepper, Corn, Cucumber, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato & Strawberry plants:
Rice can be used to make Butter Rice and Fried Rice:
Pepper can be used to make Hot Sauce:
Raw Corn can be turned into Corn which is used to make Corn Bread:
Cucumber and Tomato can be used to make Hamburgers and Tacos which I’ll cover later.

Manual Install Instructions
Download Forge above.
Open the Forge installer, choose Install Client, and click OK.
Download XL Food Mods and save it to your desktop.
Windows
Press this button combination: Windows+R
In the window that appears, type %appdata% and press Enter.
Open the .minecraft folder.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag XL Food into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!
Mac OS
Press this button combination: ⌘-Shift-G
Type in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft and press Enter.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag XL Food into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
