Waypoints offers a simple way to store points of interest around the world, to which we can travel instantaneously with just a right click on one of these points of interest.

 To create a point of interest, the mod adds a new block, very similar to a stone slab, although it receives the name of “waypoint”. This block, if we create a structure like the one we see in the upper image, that is, a base of 2x2x1 or 3x3x1, the point of interest will be activated. Now, we just have to press the right mouse button on the point of interest to assign it a name and save it in the list of points of interest.

In this menu all the points that we create will be saved, so we only have to click on any of them to teleport to that particular point.

Usage

Place waypoints blocks near each other to form a 2x1x2 or 3x1x3 waypoint structure:

Stop on it, right click and enter the name for the waypoint (you can left-click while sneaking on activated waypoint to change it name or link it to another waypoint):

After giving it a name, use it to activate the travel GUI, that lets you reloacte to any waypoint you visited before immediately:

Manual Install Instructions

Download Forge above.
Open the Forge installer, choose Install Client, and click OK.
Download Waypoints Mods and save it to your desktop.

Windows
Press this button combination: Windows+R
In the window that appears, type %appdata% and press Enter.
Open the .minecraft folder.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag Waypoints into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!

Mac OS
Press this button combination: ⌘-Shift-G
Type in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft and press Enter.
Locate the mods folder. If it doesn’t exist, create it (do not capitalize anything).
Drag Waypoints into the mods folder. If given the opportunity, do not extract them.
Start your Minecraft launcher, change your profile (bottom-left dropdown box) to Forge, and play!
