Minecraft has a few field generation mods like Better World Generation or Realistic World Gen. However, many of them are no longer updated and the 1.7.10 is getting old. Biome Bundle reworked the Minecraft generation algorithm to provide us with more than a hundred new, more realistic biomes, and fully exploiting Minecraft’s capabilities, even allowing many mapmakers to go pale. The mod adds many customized trees, caves and dungeons, but also piles of stones or gravel of the most beautiful effect. The generation of minerals and the spawn of creatures are also slightly revised. The development team aims to stay closer to the Minecaft Vanilla universe, so you will not find any specific blocks or mobs for the Biome Bundle. This allows for example to generate a map and then continue to play in Vanilla. Moreover the generation of the world derives from that of Minecraft Vanilla, taking again the same concepts of biomes with for each one of them its own characteristics. You will be able to play in survival on a world created with this mod.
Note, however, that the mod generates large, more realistic biomes, but requires more exploration to find certain resources. This is another peculiarity, intended to revitalize travel in Minecraft, often reduced to a minimum once all the key resources found.
How to install:
Start by downloading Forge Installer, Biome_Bundle-1.12.2-v6.1.jar. Once this is done, open it and click Install Client.
Launch Minecraft and select the Forge profile. Enter your credentials again and click Play to complete the installation of Forge.
Then find your .minecraft folder:
Windows: Go to the Start menu, then go to Run. Otherwise, press Windows + R key. Then type% appdata% in the search bar, then go to the .minecraft folder.
Linux: Press ALT + F2 at the same time. You should normally have your .minecraft.
If you do not see it, activate hidden folders with the CTRL + H combination.
Mac: Your minecraft folder is in User> Library> Application Support.
If you can not find Application Support, do Finder> Menu Bar: Go + Hold ALT> Library.
Then drag the .jar from your previously downloaded mod into the mods folder, which is in your .minecraft.
Start the game, and have fun!
