In the nineteenth century, many Americans went to the West, exploring unexplored lands in search of mountains and wonders, but mostly gold. And though this Gold Rush is often portrayed through gold mines, most researchers searched rivers for gold nuggets. Rubinori’s Water Strainer allows you to slip into the shoes of these gold diggers by introducing nets into Minecraft, where you can find nuggets, but also, if not, many other items, from sand to fish.

Setting up the Strainer
Get a Strainer Base and a Strainer . Then place the Strainer Base in water. The upper part of the Strainer Base must be submerged to work:
Finally, place a Strainer on the top of the Strainer Base so that the filtering of items in the water begins.
From that moment, your Strainer will be functional and will recover an item every 20 seconds approximately. Several “rules” must be respected for the Strainer to be as efficient as possible:
- If the Water Strainer is far from the water source, bonuses or penalties may affect the effectiveness of your Strainer :
- Two adjacent Water Strainers will each lose 15% efficiency
An efficiency bonus is given to a Strainer found in the following biomes:
- Ocean: + 10%
- Beach: + 15%
- River: + 20%
You can know the efficiency of your Strainer by right clicking on the Strainer with an Efficiency Meter :
The Strainer Base can be equipped with a Strainer using a Hopper pointing its lower part. The Hopper will also allow you to recover your crops:
The different Strainers
Each Strainer offers different collectible items and different durabilities. The mod has 9, broken down into 3 genres and 3 subgenres. Basic Survivalist’s Strainers offer 9 different collectible items each with a spawn chance percentage of different items:
- Sand: 20%
- Dirt: 18%
- Stick: 16%
- Gravel: 13%
- Clay: 12%
- Stone: 10%
- Oak Wood Planks: 8%
- Gold Nugget: 3%
The Survivalist’s Strainers (Tight) allow only the smallest items:
- Sand: 40%
- Dirt: 30%
- Gravel: 25%
- Gold Nugget: 5%
The Survivalist’s Strainers (Wide) , when to them, let pass the most imposing items:
- Stick: 35%
- Clay: 25%
- Stone: 25%
- Wood: 15%
The Fisherman’s Strainer mainly catch fish:
- Fish (all): 15%
- Leather armor, bowl, lily pad, stick, string, bone, vines: 15%
- Enchanted Book: 1%
Each of the Survivalist’s Strainers is craftable in 3 different versions, increasing their resistance:
The basic version of the Water Strainer has 180 uses (about 1 hour of use), the solid version has 1080 (about 6 hours of use) and the Reinforced version, when it has 8640 (or about 48 hours) Hours of use).
The Fisherman’s Stainer does not have durability but requires a Bait Pot filled with worms to function. The worms recovered by digging earth with a Garden Trowel.
