Originally, Dustycraft was a cartoon and rather colorful Resource Pack. But after having dusted (that’s the word), its creator, dustyshouri decided to gradually move away from this style to found the pack on new bases.
Dustycraft is characterized in the first place by its rather rustic colors. Understand by this that the pack puts on dark colors for the most common blocks: the grass is not green, any more than the leaves of the trees, and the wood, whatever its origin, sports rather dark hues . In general, the building blocks are quite dark, both stone and wool, or planks.
The overall atmosphere of Dustycraft, however, is not austere. The resolution in 16x certainly accentuates this rustic side, but dustyshouri takes the party to reconnect with the cartoon roots of his Resource Pack as it was originally. The Glowstone illustrates well the graphic paw of the author: close to that of Sphax PureBDCraft, a size in the field of the cartoon, it is all rounded, conceived without worry of realism or fidelity to the basic textures. In the same spirit, the stone avoids any straight edge, being finally an assembly of pebbles of smaller sizes nested in one another, as would be the stones of a paved road.
The interest of Dustycraft is thus to mix these two different styles that are the cartoon and rustic by skillfully combining the graphic paw of the first and the colors of the second, reaching a carefully thought out balance which leaves to each of these two components the space to express oneself.
