What should be the Resource Pack for the use of a server has turned into an original creation, to suit all tastes. Z Craft, from z_neumann, has the advantage of being balanced: in 32x resolution, it is moving towards a semi-realistic style that distances itself from the basic textures of Minecraft.

Z Craft is characterized by very particular colors, quite dark. This is especially true for natural blocks, obscured by a land that seems wet and teeming with life, while trees seem to be under the cover of a dark veil. The other blocks seem not to escape this phenomenon, as tinted by pigments of hardiness.

This is also a major feature of the Resource Pack: if it asserts itself as semi-realistic, Z Craft can also claim a rustic appearance, particularly visible in stone and wood, whose textures seem spotted as worn out by weather, erosion and bad weather. The result is a very peculiar atmosphere, where dust mixes with old wood, where the floor creaks when you walk on it, where the stone walls are deformed by imperfections.

As we have seen, Z Craft is defined as semi-realistic: as such, if its colors are only partially in agreement with this approach, its textures approach globally of a form of realism, if not because that this rustic atmosphere breaks the artificial geometry of Minecraft to make the textures of the game more natural, less ordered. More generally, its resolution in 32x helps to achieve the desired realism, thanks to details in the natural blocks: blades of grass, asperities of the rock, bookbinding …
