Weather, Storms & Tornadoes Mods 1.12.2/1.11.2

The weather is probably one of the most neglected aspects of the gameplay Minecraft: apart from the rain, which can eventually become snow in some biomes, it does not shine by its diversity or its graphics. In line with Weather & Tornadoes by Corosus, Weather, Storms & Tornadoes corrects these two problems.

The mod focuses on a localized weather mode, so it does not depend on a particular biome, as each player can experience rain and severe storms depending on where they are in the world. Each player has the sky with particle-based clouds that can potentially create a storm if conditions are met, ranging from rain-> lightning-> storm-> hail to tornado. In addition, the design of these storms is particularly remarkable and fits really well with shaders. These new meteorological phenomena are accompanied by new tools that make it possible to detect them.

Characteristics of the mod

From a general point of view, as we have seen, Weather, Storms & Tornadoes weather is now localized, no longer being managed biome by biome, but on zones defined by the mod, which makes it possible to “Degraded” in the intensity of phenomena. On the other hand, the base clouds are improved, replaced by more realistic aggregated particles.

With regard to precipitation, rain and snow are now also particles, falling according to the direction of the wind. Clouds with rain increase humidity and water level, while snowfall accumulates snow gradually.

As for the storms, they will occur if the temperature difference, managed by Weather, Storms & Tornadoes, is too important within an area. Their appearance is improved compared to the previous mod. In the desert, they can accumulate layers of sand, which, if dispersed, will form a sandstorm, blinding any player who is trapped by the winds.

Finally, the wind can bring down the leaves of a tree caught in the storm, whose breath on the branches will emit a sound, just like the waterfalls.
