Obsidian Armor and Tools Mod 1.11.2/1.10.2 allows you to craft tools and armor made from Obsidian – the block that is considered to be the most “useless” in Minecraft.

If we talk about the useless level of blocks in Minecraft, then Obsidian might probably be in the top 10. The reason is simple, aside from being useful for building the Nether gate, Obsidian cannot be used for anything else whatsoever. And with its rarity, no one wants to spend days to dig for them just to build some crappy houses.
In order to “salvage” this block and bring it back to the list of useful blocks, the Obsidian Armor and Tools Mod was born. The main feature of this mod is to use Obsidian to craft armors and tools with excellent durability and performance. The other point is that if you build an entire set of armor using Obsidian, you will receive an armor set that CANNOT BE DAMAGED BY FIRE! In other words, you are safe even if you fall into lava or walking through an inferno.
The obsidian tools and armor are better than diamond and can be crafted after you have melted the obsidian ore into ingots. You can find the ore at 25 down close to lava level. The new ore can be obtained by using a diamond pickaxe and the obsidian block now requires the new pickaxe to be mined. The ore requires a new world to be generated.
Creative tabs such as Blocks, Combat, Tools, and Materials for their respected objects.
The armor has a permanent fire resistance effect so you take no damage from lava or fire when wearing a full set.

How to install:
- Download Forge Installer, Version 1.7.3.rar file.
- Right click Forge Installer, Run as Administrator and press OK to install Forge. (You can skip this step if you’ve installed Minecraft Forge)
- Open Start on desktop > Open Run (Or you can use the Windows + R keyboard shortcut)
- Type %appdata% into Run and press enter.
- Go to folder /.minecraft/mods
- Put jar file of the mod you have downloaded into mods folder and then run Minecraft. Done!
